Safety of Dog Walkers

After the sad news of the death of Natasha Johnston, 28 whilst walking eight dogs near Caterham, the Surrey coroner has now delivered their report to the Government Minister of State.

In the report, the coroner highlights the lack of regulation in the Dog Walking sector at a local and national level. They also suggest that consideration should be given to placing a limit on the number and gross weight of the dogs being walked by any one individual.

Various local councils have started to introduce stricter controls on dog walkers, and we hope this is a precursor to national regulation in the near future. Our sympathy goes to Natasha’s family and friends.
